Tennis Sweeps Duquesne and Eastern Illinois

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis team (5-0) stayed undefeated after its fifth straight sweep with a 4-0 win over Duquesne and a 7-0 victory over Eastern Illinois on Friday at the Western Athletic Club.

“It was another good day,” head coach Eric Toth said. “We had a doubleheader just a couple of weeks ago and I felt it went as planned once again. Everyone did a really great job. I thought our energy level in doubles during the second match wasn’t exactly where I wanted it to be, but we talked about being resilient. Resiliency is such a key piece in getting through any season, I thought we showed that today. We had some players out of the lineup as well, so we had others that needed to step up. The highlight of the day was Sanjana Reddy getting two wins today. That’s a kid who doesn’t get to play in a lot of matches, but she did a fantastic job. I was very excited to see her get two wins.”
